My First Post--Opening Day

Hey Guys,

I don't usually create blogs or anything, but I think I might just run with this one.

So Christmas lasts one day.
Spring Break lasts one week.
But baseball season lasts 162 glorious games, and I can't wait to catch almost all of them.

Incase you don't know me, I am a huge Chicago Cubs fan. Yes, we haven't won the World Series since 1908. Yes, the White Sox did win it in 2005. And yes, I do believe we are cursed.

Now that that's out of the way, let me say that I absolutely can not wait to sit in the Wrigley Bleachers with a bag of peanuts and David Sunflower seeds that I sneak in, watching the Cubs play the most exciting baseball out of any team in the Major Leagues. Hands down. I can't wait to see the ivy, see the Miller Lite billboard in Right, hear the organ, and watch Carlos Zambrano overreact to a correct call and take it out on the Gatorade Machine. Classic.

With the whole season ahead of me, who knows where it will go. We still need to pick up a star if we want to break tradition and maybe win a World Series, gasp, but I can't wait to see where this season goes.

Holla,
Hansen

  1. Go Cubbies!!!!
Sure miss the "friendly confines" of the stadium
Actually, there is a restaurant with the same name in Orlando.
Check it out. Lots of Chicago fans down here.

  2. Really? Is it any good or does it resemble Wrigley at all?
